Peace is a concept of love, respect, harmony, serenity, togetherness and happiness in the absence of war, conflict, discrimination and violence. Developing a culture of peace will help in addressing the challenges that permeate in our society like war, violence, discrimination and conflict. The culture of peace consists of attitudes, behaviours and values that reject violence and seek to prevent conflicts by addressing their root causes. It aims to solve problems among individuals, groups and nations through dialogue and negotiation.

Human beings have the ability to create/invent/build peace. The training manual has been developed through a joint effort between Bal Raksha Bharat Also Known as Save the Children and Jamia Millia Islamia’s Nelson Mandela Centre for Peace and Conflict Resolution. The target groups of the present module are students in the age group of 12-18 years.

The Peace Education Manual for teachers on LMS underwent a brand transformation in 2023. Thus, the old branding may reflect in some existing Audio and video visuals.
